I don't have to work that hard? Really?

Someone pointed out to me a couple of years ago that I believe I have to work really really hard to get what I want... I had a think about it and realised they were right. I have worked so hard at things in the past that I have made myself physically sick, my lungs always let me know when I am overdoing it! I am realising that you don't have to work yourself into a crumpled mess on the floor to get what you want (the Universe usually plays a trick on you anyway, you never get what you want but you do indeed get what you need or at least I do). I am not shy of work, in fact I am a little like a car battery, as my engines turn and my wheels fly along life's highway, I charge that battery and am pumped with the energy to keep that engine whizzing round and round. However, I am getting tired of working so hard and not reaping the benefits I forsaw being bestowed upon myself, I have decided I am going to give myself a break. I have done a lot of work, now I need to chill out and let it happen. What is the point of giving more than what you have to give and getting less back. Your energy gets sucked from you leaving you drained, tired and more than a little emotional. So let part of your plan for success be to spend some time "just sitting back and waiting for it to happen" because you know it will!
Good Luck

Relaxation Visualisation and Meditation

Our Meditation class began another run for 6 weeks last night with all partakers of last group returning. We also had some new people who we were delighted to welcome in. We focused on our bodies mostly last night, in order to relax the mind we must first relax the body. By zoning in on the body and scanning it for imbalance, we get to know our own bodies, it is the beginning of getting to know who you are. A 6 week run begins every 6 weeks so keep you eyes peeled for the next one. It is an hour of freedom away from all the stresses of our lives. Call me on 086 3183369 or mail me on niamh@holos.ie

Active Retirement

I had a lovely evening last night with an active retirement group. I gave a little presentation and explained what I do and did a very gentle relaxation and visualisation. They were such a great group to work with and had so many questions for me. It was inspiring to see the older generation so full of life, fun and curiosity. I want to be like that when I'm older. We got on so well, they have invited me back in September to do a series of classes with them. I left with a big smile on my face. I really look forward to working with them in the future. I have a feeling that I will be doing a lot more work with the older generation in the future. Stay tuned!

Apple Cider Vinegar

One of the things I constantly advise my clients to try is Apple Cider Vinegar. It is one of the nature's little gems which works in many ways to bring balance to the body and so the mind and spirit. One of the things it does is help to balance the metabolism so is a great aid to weigh management. ACV is also brilliant for Arthritis. Artritis and most illness are caused by acid in the body. The body prefers to be more alkaline and when we have high levels of acid (ingested in our foods) we are more likely to experience illness. ACV is alkaline and helps the body to achieve a more alkaline state and thus protecting us from illness. Many of my clients report a huge difference in Arthritic pain after 2-6 months of taking ACV. Use ACV as part of your diet, taking it every day. Start taking it twice a day - 1 table spoon in a little warm water with a little honey. Do this until you notice a difference and reduce to once a day if you so wish.
I think we should all take it!

Angel Evening

Join Jane Donald and Carmel Costello for an evening of Angels and Healing in Holos on Saturday July 3rd 4-6pm
I will have more details soon.

Yum Blueberries

Aswell as being delicious, blueberries are proving to be one of nature's most precious medicines. Blueberries are rich in antioxidants which help to destroy free radicals which cause cancers, but they are also proving in research to help to boost memory and learning. The antioxidant anthocyanin triggers the section of the brain concerned with memory and learning and so gives it a natural boost.
So go out and buy your blueberries today fresh or they are available in supplemnt form from any health store.

Possitive Affirmations

Positive Affirmations are statements repeated over and over again, with you believing the words you are saying so that in sending these thoughts, these words out to the Universe, the Universe in turn will manifest these thoughts and these words into reality.

When you use Affirmations use positive words such as "I am" rather than "I will be", "I have" rather than "I will have". When you use the future tense you are saying that some time in the future, but not now, you will be ready for those gifts to come into your life. In speaking in the present, you are saying that you are ready NOW.

So think about the things you want in your life...

Success
Money
A partner
A beautiful home
A new car
A friend or family member to recover from an illness
To run your own business
To be slimmer
To be fitter
To have a child
To travel

There are so many things that you may want to have in your life so start your positive affirmations today. Positive Affirmations need to be said with belief, belief that you will achieve your goal. You can say your affirmation a few times a day about ten or fifteen times. Decide to say it in the morning perhaps as you look at your reflection in the mirror. You may write it down a number of times during the day. Write it down and stick it to the fridge and look at it and repeat it over breakfast. Find what works for you and what least infringes on your time. Make the Affirmations short so that they are easier to remember and are not complicated. See a picture in your head of the thing you want, place you want to go, thing you want to do, whatever you want in your life.

Here are some Positive Affirmations for each of the things I listed above.

Success - "I am growing successfully every day"
Money - "My bank account grows from week to week"
A partner - "My partner is a wonderful kind and loving person"
A beautiful home - "My home is filled with beauty and love"
A new car - " I drive the car of my dreams"
A friend or family member to recover from an illness - "xxxxxx is well and health and full of life"
To run your own business - "I am the boss"
To be slimmer - "I am getting slimmer every day"
To be fitter - "I am feeling fitter with each day"
To have a child - "I have a beautiful healthy baby whom I love"

So these are just a few you can run with, make up your own and also keep an eye here for more Positive Affirmations

Let the Child within come out to play

Well, we were certainly forced to allow the child within to emerge last week, when it snows what else can we do but become children again and just enjoy it? Walks in the snow, snowball fights, snowmen and sliding down hills in baking trays (yes we did!) I embraced it and just enjoyed it as much as I could, sitting by a warm fire is one of the things I enjoy doing most and goodness knows I did enough of that last week. The lack of water also allows us to be children again, remember when you hated washing when you were a child? Well washing goes out the window when the pipes have frozen over. Mind you, not washing is not as much fun when you are an adult, sliding down hills in a baking tray is though!
So my message today is
LET THE CHILD WITHIN COME OUT TO PLAY

Believe me, you will enjoy it!!

xx All the best Niamh
